Going to award ceremonies is like being invited to a school dance without knowing if your date will show up or not. And much like a school dance the night is filled with pre drinking, mingling with your peers and praying that someone will ask you to dance.

This year we had 11 Nominations; a tremendous feat that came with tremendous pressure.

The atmosphere was strange…where were the plush seats and glamorous velvet drapes? More importantly where was the bar? where should we stand? Has it started yet? We huddled by the coats; practical we thought and out of the way. Just our style.

The crowd grew gallus and restless, dismissing each award until their own…at one point the compare had to plead for recognition. We rushed through a handful of awards, and then thankfully it happened.

We become the proud award winner for Corporate Identity with the branding project for Scotpulse. Big shout out to Graham Anderson.

Shortly joined by Neil Gilmartin another proud award winner in the TV/Cinema Campaign category with his work for the STV Player and Bob. A well deserved commendation for Scotpulse in this category too.

Closely followed were commendations for Advertising Strategy for our STV News App ‘The home of Scottish News’ campaign and Animation for our STV Player ‘Bob’ campaign.

The prosecco flowed like wine…the cover band thrashed out the hits and we kept our jobs for another 6 months. Success.
