As STV’s internal creative agency, TV is what we do. We get a buzz out of making ads for our clients. Ads that run on our channel. Ads that have smart ideas at their core.
We work on all sorts of briefs, from butchers to legal services, but it’s not often you get the chance to work on four that aim to ‘change the world for the better’.
That’s why we’ve thrown our heart and soul into Do It Day. Set up by media publication the Drum, Do It Day brings together some of the world’s biggest brands and charities with influencers in media, marketing, advertising, creative and technology. The brands and charities set briefs to ignite social change and the marketers have a day to come up with a concept, with a further day to implement the winning idea.
Just one day, to do something that can change the world – and there is no budget.
A pretty daunting task, but it’s amazing what you can achieve when you just jump in. There’ve been a few late nights, some very strange sound sessions – turns out one of our JPs has a bit of a talent for voices – hundreds of conference calls, and gallons of coffee, but we’ve made some great stuff. All because we’ve been passionate about the cause we’re supporting and we’ve had fun doing it.
It’s not just us though. We’ve been collaborating with some super talented people down in London too. Creatives, planners, designers, marketing execs, actors, and more. With their help we’ve made 11 TV ads, 10 online videos, 12 digital display units, and have organized two surprise stunts. Not bad for a days work……
